Integration of automation systems and MES

There are many reasons for the integration of automation and distributed control systems (DCS) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).

“Integration” usually means the data-technical coupling of the DCS to the MES.

Here, a DCS with an integrated batch-mode transfers

  • job data or batch data
  • commands for start, abort etc. of batches

from the MES to the DCS and

  • batch status information
  • report values

from the DCS to the MES.

i.p.a.s.-systeme develops the data interface, which is required for the integration of the DCS with the MES. In this area, we have years of experience, especially in the pharmaceutical environment.
